Our laboratory started in April, 1999. I have been collaborating with many students and staffs since then.

I always make three promises with those who join our laboratory.

These are very simple but very important and difficult to be fulfilled.

Promise (a) requires deep understanding of the research.

Promise (b) also require deep understanding of the research but requires other ability to explain and persuade others to make collaborations.

Promise (c) requires understanding and recognizing other persons.

Therefore these three promises requires important abilities that are necessary for world leaders in the 21st century.

Our research must be unique. Students may have a hard time in their stay with us. They have to find their own solutions with big efforts. I hope students have courage to overcome these difficulties. I believe it will be helpful for their long life.
I am looking forward to collaborating with you and encouraging you for your future.
