Biographical Sketch: Professor Morawski started his research work on photocatalysis in 1992 when he got a position of Head of Dept. of Water Technology and Environmental Engineering in Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Szczecin University of Technology (present name West Pomeranian Univ. of Technology). Since 2005 Prof. Morawski is a director of Institute of Chemical and Environment Engineering. Professor Morawski is an author or co-author of more than 220 Polish patent applications (+ 3 PCT) as well as a great number of works performed under cooperation with industry. His research group has applied for industry several domestic patents on the preparation of nanomaterials, including TiO2. The photocatalytic paint was involved for production as well as industrial pilot plant installation for wastewater purification using TiO2 photocatalyst was built by the group of Prof. Morawski. He is an author or co-author of about 280 international journal papers as well as 600 conference publications and has over 5800 citations by SCI with Hirsch index of h=42. Prof. Morawski is a member of "Carbon Society of Japan", "European Photocatalysis Federation", and member of editorial board of "Journal of Materials", "Polish J. Chemical Technology" and "International J. of Photoenergy". In the period of 2010-2016 Prof. Morawski was a council member of The National Centre for Research and Development. Since 2017 he is President of the Board of Wrocław Research Centre EIT+Ltd.
