CHRISTOPHE COLBEAU-JUSTIN

Title of presentation:

Recent Developments on Studies of Mobile Charge-Carriers in Photocatalytic Particles by Time Resolved Microwave Conductivity

Christophe Colbeau-Justin holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (1996). He completed a post-doctoral fellow at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin in Germany between 1996 and 1997, he was Assistant-Professor at the Institut Galilée of Université Paris 13 between 1998 and 2008, and stayed at the INTEC of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Santa Fe in Argentina as a visiting scientist from 2004 to 2005. He is Full Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Université Paris-Sud since 2008, conducts its research in Laboratoire de Chimie Physique (UMR CNRS).

He is an expert in photocatalytic materials for wastewater treatment and hydrogen production. His research topics are: the elaboration of photocatalytic nanomaterials (surface treatment by metal nanoparticles), the study of photocatalytic mechanisms (Time Resolved Microwave Conductivity, TRMC), the setup of wastewater treatment reactors (batch and annular reactors). He is involved in several projects, as coordinator, implying international academic and industrial collaborations.
