Five Lessons Learned in Kinetics of Photocatalyzed Systems

David Ollis is University Distinguished Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University. His research has included biochemical engineering, photocatalysis, and engineering education. He edited with Hussain Al-Ekabi the book Photocatalytic Purification and Treatment of Water and Air, Elsevier, 1993 and translated with Nick Serpone the French text Photochemical Technology, 1991, by Andre Braun, Ester Oliveros, and Marie-Therese Maurette. His photocatalysis research has included kinetics of air purification, contaminant removal from water, and the many factors influencing the kinetics of self-cleaning surfaces.
