Hybrid inorganic-organic layered structures as cathode materials for Li-O₂ batteries

Dr. Izabela Rzeznicka is currently a Professor at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering of Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT). She obtained her MScEng degree in adsorption and catalysis field from Lodz University of Technology in Poland. After a short research exchange study at the University of Louis Pasteur, France and Hokkaido University, Japan, she joined Division of Materials Science, Graduate School of Environmental Earth Science, Hokkaido University where she obtained her PhD in the field of surface science on the subject of catalytic reduction of nitrous oxides and CO oxidation over noble metal catalysts. She continued her research at the University of Pittsburgh in USA, RIKEN, University of Tokyo, Tohoku University, Japan before joining SIT in spring 2016. Her current academic interests include surface-grown inorganic-organic layer structures, nanoscale Raman spectroscopy, and proteins at interfaces.
