YUICHI KAMIYA

Catalytic reduction of nitrate toward purification of actually polluted groundwater


Yuichi Kamiya was born in 1972 in Aichi Prefecture of Japan. He received his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Engineering at Nagoya University in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He spent his early carrier in Tonen Chemical Corporation (1997-2002) and Japan Science and Technology Agency (2002-2003) with positions in research and production. In 2002 he received his Doctor’s degree in Engineering at Nagoya University. In 2003 he stared his academic carrier as Associate Professor in Faculty of Environmental Earth Science, Hokkaido University and then he was promoted to Professor in 2015. His major research interests are environmental catalysts for purification of water polluted with chemicals and design of heterogeneous catalysts based on regular assembling of well-defined metal and metal oxide clusters.
