１）物構研の複数の量子ビーム（放射光、中性子、ミュオン、低速陽電子）を物質・生命科学の研究に協奏的に利用する研究
２）物質の機能性に水素とスピン、あるいはそのいずれかが強く関与する研究でマルチプローブ利用（=二つ以上の量子ビームを相補的・協奏的に利用）が有効なもの
３）上記の研究に関連する基盤技術開発（ハード、ソフト）
