Our research article demonstrating the electrochemical mixed-potential-driven mechanism for room-temperature CO oxidation on gold catalysts has been published in Advanced Science.
In this study, we constructed a model system with spatially separated Au nanoparticles (NPs) and nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide (NrGO) to experimentally demonstrate that room-temperature CO oxidation proceeds via a mixed-potential mechanism.
The measured reaction current and potential matched well with the independently obtained current–potential profiles of each half-reaction, providing strong evidence for this mechanism.
